We were happy to join nursing training in Alexandria for two days. The Church has a program of training nurses on newborn care. Some sections focus on resuscitation, some on IV lines. The mannequins are quite life-like and there is fake blood that can be pumped through so you can really see correct procedures.
These nurses were all very friendly and happy to receive more training. The leaders were doctors and professors from Bucharest, which is about 2 hours away.
Unfortunately I had a migraine during class and had to go sit in a quiet room. This was the first time I had memory loss with a migraine. I couldn't remember my name or why I was there. Paul was with me the whole time, and suggested I look at my missionary tag. Yes! Willard. That's my name. After an hour, everything was fine.
We enjoyed dinner with the team at our hotel. The pizza and the papanasi were delicious, but I was eaten alive by the mosquitos.
Each pair of donuts had a different sauce on top: blackberry, apricot, and currant. A perfect dessert to share.
