Bacău Training

After leaving Brasov, we headed for Bacău to meet with some leaders for training. Driving in the countryside was fun. In some towns we would see stork nests on every single pole. They all leave for the winter so it's nice to see them come back.

Onești is the town where Nadia Comăneci grew up and trained to be a gymnast. When she competed in the 1976 and 1980 Olympics, I was paying attention. Unfortunately, her hometown is pretty rundown. Did you know she married Bart Conner?

We stopped by a smash burger restaurant and were chatted up by the owner. He was happy we enjoyed our meal and bragged about the potato brioche buns and angus meat. It really was yummy.

On Sunday we enjoyed Sunday sacrament with these elders. They ran everything from conducting, teaching, translating, etc. It was inspiring to see such dedication and competence among the young elders.
